Taking a dig at the consensus between Congress and BJP on Lokpal bill, Yechury quoted an old Hindi song, "Ankhon hi ankhon mein ishara ho gaya, baithe baithe jeene ka sahara ho gaya"
"Lokpal will stop the 'demand' for corruption, say the bill's supporters. But why is it silent about 'supply'? What about funding of political parties?", Yechury asked the house.
The house will discuss Lokpal bill for four more hours on Wednesday, informed Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath.
Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley said that BJP is extremely keen on passing the Lokpal bill. However, Jailtley said that BJP is against the religion based reservations that the Lokpal Bill offers.
Earlier the day Samajwadi party members had walked out of Rajya Sabha in protest. "Lokpal is not in national interest", SP leaders said.
