New Delhi, April 12: Online taxi aggregator has cut down its fare upto 22 percent in around 10 non metro cities including Pune and Ahmedabad. This step will surely give competition to rival taxi giant including Ola.
The fare has been slashed by 19 percent in cities like Indore and Nagpur. In cities like Jaipur and Jodhpur, it has been cut down by 22 percent, for its affordable service to the customers as per mentioned by the Uber Go blog post.
Also from now onwards, Uber will now charge a base fare of Rs 25 instead of Rs 40 in Udaipur and Jodhpur. Also, the per kilometer charge has been reduced to Rs 7 from Rs 8 and the fare cut would bring the cost down to Rs 5 per km in cities like Vizag, Nagpur, Indore and Ahmedabad.
Over all, Uber has also reduced its tariff in other cities such as Pune, Ajmer, Mangalore and Thiruvananthapuram.

Uber also challenged that with the this affordable facility, the car owners will surely opt to use the Uber service to avoid hassle free travel and to prevent them from paying hefty car parking charges.
On the other hand, Bengaluru-based rival Ola had recently launched Micro, with its affordable prices service that offers rides at Rs 6 per km. Ola also challenged by saying that very soon they will overtake Uber in terms of rides.
Ola has recently launched its micro services in cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore and Guwahati.
Uber has its services in 361 cities in 66 countries. In India, it has services in 26 cities, the highest compared to any other country outside the US.
