New Delhi, Sept 15: Many Indian politicians and celebrities earlier had landed in trouble while dealing with security at airports in US. The list includes people such as Dr Abdul Kalam, Praful Patel, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan and many more.
Now, most of them might be relieved as India and the United States have been working on a pact that will exempt certain categories of Indians.
People, who may enjoy the special favours, are former Presidents, Prime Ministers and other "high dignitaries", big industrialists and some filmstars.
US and India have been preparing a list of people who may not face any trouble during immigration checks in America. According to reports, names of Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan have been added in the list.
Other Indians, whose names also have been added in the list, are former president Pratibha Patil, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and others.
Earlier Kalam and Shahrukh Khan had experienced frisking at airports in US. The Bollywood superstar earlier in 2012 wasdetained at a New York airport for over two hours by immigration officials after arriving from India in a private plane with Nita Ambani, to address students at Yale University.
Dr Kalam too had experienced similar incident. It was in 2011 when he had gone to US to attend a series of events. The incident took place during his return to India.
