Leter, the draft will be sent to Andhra Pradesh assembly.
Andhra Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reiterated that his assembly will reject the draft. However, the union government has the final say. It can go ahead with the formation of Telangana even if the state assembly rejects the draft. TDP and YSR congress are hellbent in opposing the draft. Union ministers from Seemandhra will also oppose the bill.
The draft will be submitted before the Union Cabinet before tabling it in Parliament. If Parliament clears the Bill, the new state will be created by an order signed by the President of India.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday met West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee to ask for her support in opposing the bill. Jagan has been mobilising support of regional parties against the Bill. Banerjee has said that her party will oppose the bill in the parliament.
The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has warned the centre of dire consequences if Telangana is not created. The agitation for Telangana has been happening since decades in the state.
