Goa toll plaza: Nitesh Rane out on bail, thanks to political contacts

Goa toll plaza: Nitesh Rane released
Panaji, Dec 4: Nitesh Rane, son of Maharashtra Industry minister, who was held for vandalising a toll plaza in Dhargal near Goa, has been released on bail at 1 am today.

Sources said that his contacts with the top bosses in politics helped him get the release. Nitesh and his bodyguards allegedly vandalised a toll plaza late on Wednesday night for being asked for toll.

Rampaging through the plaza, they injured three staff members. One if them relayed to the media the exact words of the youth leader:

"You are asking toll from us? Do you know who we are?"

Clearly, after flexing his muscles there, he did the same during police custody using his and his father's contacts. As a result, a case was registered against the bodyguards when Rane was to be named the prime accused.

Narayan Rane, his father, is an influential minister in the Prithviraj Chavan cabinet and an NCP strongman.
