58-year-old Amar Singh, who contested Lok Sabha elections from Fatehpur Sikri constituency in Uttar Pradesh, told reporters that "he is ready to accept people's verdict".
On being asked about Narendra Modi, Singh said, "One can see a glimpse of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, and slain party leader Pramod Mahajan in Narendra Modi."
The exit polls conducted by various news channels concluded that BJP-led NDA is likely to form the next government at the Centre.
The exit poll results gave a thumping victory to the NDA coalition. The nine-phased elections ended on May 12, with grand climax in Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Bihar and West Bengal.
As the elections got over, Modi tweeted:
NDA remained firmly focussed on the agenda of development & good governance & ensured this became focal points of the entire campaign.
