EC sends notice to Gadkari over his remark to take money from everyone, but vote only for BJP

Nitin Gadkari skirts new controversy
Nagpur, Oct 6Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is not new to controversies, right from bugging incidence to allegation of financial irregularities against his company Purti group.

Adding to this list, Transport Minister has skirted new controversy appealing voters that they should take money from any of the parties but vote only for the BJP.

Taking strong note of it, reportedly the election Commission has issued notice to him for violating model code of conduct.

While addressing a rally, the Minister as quoted by ABP news said, "Remember one thing-- whoever is giving you anything, just take it."

Crossing all limits, the controversial leader said, "This is the time for the poor to get all the black money. Don't say no to Lakshmi. But in elections, don't forget to vote for BJP."

The former BJP president has a chequered history. Earlier, the Sunday Guardian had reported that a high-power bug was accidentally found in the minister's bungalow. The report claimed that the bugs were "planted by a foreign agency."

Before that, it was alleged that his company Purti group was getting dubious funding which ultimately rejected him second term as BJP chief post.
