Gadkari announces Rs 50,000 crore for roads sector in Bihar
Patna, May 26: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday announced provision of Rs 50,000 crore for the roads sector in Bihar.
Addressing BJP workers here to mark completion of one year of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, Gadkari said: "This year itself, this amount would be used for road construction in Bihar."
He said Modi government was committed to the development of Bihar and the face of every sector would change now. [Govt to award road projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore: Gadkari]
"Soon, waterways in river Ganga from Kolkata to Delhi would be developed and work on the project of waterways between Varanasi and Haldia at a cost of Rs.4,200 has already begun," the union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping added.
He also said that Modi had brought the country on the right track of development.
