"After Balasaheb (the late Sena supremo Bal Thackeray), I respect Pawar, and have known him for long. He inquired about me and my future plans. I told him about my wish to continue to serve the people and he asked me to join NCP which I accepted," Rawle said.
He also said that Shiv Sena had closed doors on him even though he was not involved in any anti-party activity.
"I just spoke my mind....I was not allowed to meet Uddhav (Uddhav Thackeray, party president) for four years," said Rawle.
