For Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata riders: Taking a ride in Uber? Now pay cash directly to driver!
Bengaluru, Sept 2: In an attempt to make a hassle-free experience for riders, the US-Based Taxi aggregator Uber has rolled out cash payment services in Bengaluru and New Delhi.
Bhavik Rathod, GM, Uber Bangalore said that riders will be able to make direct payment with cash starting from today (Wednesday, Sept 2).
At the end of your trip, before you step out of the cab, pay the exact amount. No haggling required!

In May 2015, Uber had offered cash payment option in Hyderabad, followed by Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Kochi.
Uber's new move comes on a day when the nation is observing Bharat Bandh, when no buses and autos are plying.

Presently, Uber offers cash payment services in 22 cities across India. The taxi firm is yet to start cash payment option in Mumbai.
Uber is also mulling to launch its own mobile payment wallet. Currently, those who hire Uber cabs make payment via Paytm.
Now, Uber riders can also enjoy the convenience of paying through their Airtel Money wallets.
