First Hajj flight from India reaches Madinah

The first Hajj pilgrims flight from India reached the holy city of Madinah in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
Jeddah, Aug 28: The first Hajj pilgrims flight from India reached the holy city of Madinah in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

An Air India Flight AI 5001 carrying close to 234 pilgrims from Kolkata arrived at Prince Mohammad International Airport at Madinah. They were received by the Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Hamid Ali Rao and Consul General of India Jeddah BS Mubarak along with other senior officials at the Prince Mohammad International airport.

Reportedly, all the pilgrims were given Saudi SIM cards. Air India will transport 50,790 pilgrims more from close to 21 points of embarkations in India in the coming days.
