Bengaluru, June 22: The Government of India has instituted an award to give recognition to children with exceptional abilities and who have shown outstanding achievement in fields such as innovation in any field including design, scholastic achievement on National level, Art, Culture, Sports, Social service, Music and any other field which deserves recognition as per the decision of the Central Selection Committee.
The children residing in India born on or after 01-08-1999 and who are in the age group of 9 -16 years with the exceptional achievements in the above mentioned fields will be considered for this award for the year 2015.
The National Award consists of one Gold Medal with cash prize of Rs 20,000, book vouchers of Rs 10,000, a certificate and a citation and 35 silver Medals (One for each State/UT) with cash prize of Rs.10,000, book vouchers of Rs 3,000, a certificate and a citation for each awardee.
The children, who will be selected for the award should have shown exceptional talent. The talent claimed to be possessed by the child as an extra-ordinary or exceptional should be justified with supporting documents.
Age Certificate should be attached duly attested by a Gazetted Government Officer.
The prescribed application forms for the award 2015 may be obtained from the Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department in the respective districts.
The filled in applications, in English in duplicate may be sent to the concerned District Deputy Director, Women and Child Development Department on or before 04-07-2015.
