Deadline for Tejpal expires, Goa Police mulls further action
This may involve issuing non-bailable warrant against him, arresting him or issuing a look out warrent for him. In fact, the Delhi court's hearing tomorrow can now backfire on him as the Goa police got a scope to build up a strong case against him. The police can argue that since the prime accused in the case did not appear before the police for mere interrogation, there is no point that he be given an anticipatory bail.
Earlier today, in his letter to the CBI crime branch, he said:

Respected Ma'am,
I have just been informed that last night, November 27, around 10:45 pm, you had left the summons with my wife Geetan Batra Tejpal asking me to appear at CID crime branch office at Dona Paula, Panjim, Goa on November 28 at 3 pm for investigation.
Since I am not a resident of Goa, I require a little time to appear before you. I request you to kindly allow me to present myself for investigation on Saturday afternoon, that is, the day after.
I hope that is okay. I assure you of my complete and full cooperation.
Thanking
you
Tarun
Tejpal
Time would unveal the fate of Tarun Tejpal now!
