Explain your overseas assets, SC tells Vijay Mallya
SC said that it was unhappy with the way Mallya had disclosed about his overseas assets
New Delhi, Oct 25: The Supreme Court on Tuesday told liquor baron Vijay Mallya to disclose in full the assets he holds overseas including the details of the $40 million he got from Diageo in February.
Saying it was not happy the way he had made disclosure, Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice Rohinton Nariman said Mallya will furnish particulars of his foreign assets as he had given in respect of his assets in India.
Mallya had left the country in March and is currently said to be in Britain, having defied several court orders to return to India.
His plush villa in Goa found no takers as it went for auctioning last week. The villa was priced at Rs 85.29 crore.
