Embarrassment for Jitan Ram Manjhi: FIR against Bihar ex-CM's daughter
New Delhi, Dec 21: In what could be termed as big embarrassment to former Bihar chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, a case has been lodged against his daughter Sunaina Devi.
Reportedly, Sunaina Devi's daughter in law has been missing since two days. Peeved father suspects that her daughter might be killed by her in laws for dowry. Police has confirmed that FIR has been filled in the case.
Case was registered against Sunaina Devi and four other family members by deceased Soni's father in Delha police station in Gaya town.
"Ramdev Manjhi, father of Sunaina's daughter-in-law, filed an FIR alleging that his daughter was murdered by the accused for more dowry," a district police official said.
Ramdev told the police that the accused cremated his daughter without informing them.
He said his daughter was married to Sunaina's son Vicky in 2008.
When asked about the incident, HAM (S) spokesperson Danish Rizwan was quoted as saying: "It is nothing but an act of political vendetta. It is a conspiracy against a Dalit leader."
