Kolkata, Nov 4: It seems cup of woes for Mamata Government is not getting over. Barely a controversy dies down before another props up in Trinamool Congress ruled West Bengal. Mamata Didi is surely on back foot after series of bad news recently I.e party's alleged link with the Burdwan blast and then daily controversy by unruly MLA.

The latest in the growing lists is an accusation by a widow who alleged that she was abused by kin of a Minister in the Mamata government.

A widow of late Trinamool Congress MP Kapil Krishna Thakur, who passed away last month, has accused that she was abused and pushed around by the sons of her brother in-law Manjul Krishna Thakur, a minister in the Mamata Banerjee cabinet and a leader of the influential Matua community.

Mamata Thakur, the widow of Kapil Krishna, filed a complaint at Gaighata police station in North 24-Parganas district, SDPO Bongaon Mir Saidul Ali said. Mamata alleged that Subrata and Santanu, sons of Manjul, had entered her room while she was holding a meeting with her followers and abused her and pushed her, police sources said.

The police is investigating the allegations, the sources said. All of these persons belong to the Thakur family headed by Matua Maa, the leader of the influential Matua community which holds sway in Bongaon North constituency, from which Kapil Krishna had been elected MP earlier this year.

This has taken place on the close on the heels of another such embarrassing incident where a ruling TMC MLA was caught on camera claiming that his party leaders are extorting money from businessmen.
