Bengaluru, April 26: People in Nepal, North and North-East India are living in scare as several aftershocks hit the region ever since the massive earthquake on Saturday, April 25. However, a fresh tremor around 1 pm on Sunday left everyone perplexed.
People came out from their houses. Metro services in Delhi, Kolkata were suspended briefly. Government officials announced that rescue operation in Nepal too was suspended till 4 pm.
According to United States Geological Survey, the aftershocks measured 6.7 in the Richter scale. The epicenter was Kodari, around 80 km east of Kathmandu.
More than 2,000 people died in the massive earthquake which hit Nepal. At least 70 people died in India. Rescue operations are on. India, China, Pakistan extended help to Nepal.
Meanwhile, micro-blogging site Twitter has been flooded with comments on the earthquake that rattled Nepal.
