Jharkhand high court declared holiday for Durga Puja from Saturday, Oct 5 till Oct 16. Now, the RJD supremo Lalu will be able to file an appeal against the special CBI court verdict.
Lalu has been sent to jail for 5 years in connection with fodder scam case. A special CBI court, while announcing the sentence on Thursday, Oct 3, asked the former Bihar chief minister to pay a fine of Rs 25 lakh.
Lalu can not move higher court right now as all courts have declared holiday
However, the same festive season may bring some good news for other RJD party leaders and workers. According to sources, Lalu's daughter Misa may join the party to support her mother Rabri Devi and two brothers -- Tejaswi Yadav and Tej Pratap.
Recently Rabri Devi, the former Chief Minister of Bihar, was quoted as saying, "I will run the party with the help of my son, the way the Congress party is run by Sonia-Rahul." Now with the news regarding Misa, it seems that the entire Yadav family has joined hands to face the crisis which has hit RJD severely.
Lalu has become the second MP to lose seat after Rasheed Masood was sentenced to four years in jail in the MBBS admission scam.
