New Delhi, Jan 24: Days after AAP's founder member Shanti Bhushan said that the Aam Aadmi Party needed re-orientation, party's national executive member Prashant Bhushan has Arvind Kejriwal's way of selecting candidates for Delhi Assembly polls. Bhushan has also submitted a list of 12 AAP candidates with dubious reputation.
According to report in DNA, Bhushan has submitted the list to AAP's Lokpal, Admiral (retd) Laxminarayan Ramdas. Bhushan, who has been associated with Kejriwal since Anna Hazare's Lokpal movement has also asked Lokpal to remove them from the party if charges against them prove right.
"There were a lot of complaints about the kind of candidates selected, especially those who had been para-dropped into the party recently. Some of them were referred to the party Lokpal, who recommended the removal of two candidates,'' Bhushan was quoted as saying in the report.
Here's how Delhi BJP spokesperson Sanjay Kaul reacted to the latest development:
Recently, AAP cancelled the tickets given to Govardhan Singh, Rajindar Dabas. Both of them were to contest the Delhi elections from Mehrauli and Mundka respectively. The report said that the party has charged Singh with indulging in anti-party activities and being close to the BJP.
