Don't be duped by railway caterers; Here is the official price list
Indian Railways has decided to make the official price list public on their Twitter handle.
The Indian Railways has now issued a standard rate list for food items sold in trains by pantry staff. This initiative is a great step forward in letting passengers know the actual price of food items they purchase during travel.
Most of you must have paid Rs 10 per cup of tea/coffee without having realised that the price as per the menu is Rs 7. So where does Rs 3 go?
Similarly, a litre of packaged drinking water is charged Rs 20 in most cases, but in the official pricelist put up on #RailMinIndia, it is priced at Rs 15.
In a bid to address all these discrepencies and inconvienince faced by the passengers, Indian Railways has decided to make the official price list public on their Twitter handle.
