Controversy over IAS officer DK Ravi's death continues, Twitter flooded with demand for justice
Bengaluru, March 18: Two days after his death, controversy over IAS officer DK Ravi is yet to die down. While post-mortem report on Wednesday, March 18 confirmed that it was a case of suicide, people across the country refused to accept the theory.
35-year-old Ravi, a 2009 batch IAS officer, was found hanging at his official residence at South Bangalore on Monday, March 16. It was suspected that the Ravi had to pay the price for taking on powerful people.
Many raised questioned regarding sand mafia's alleged connection with Ravi's death. Protests and shutdown took place in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka over his death. Ravi was well-known for his honesty and forthrightness.
Opposition parties-led by BJP in Karnataka have been asking for an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (BJP). Meanwhile, many people across the country took the help of micro-blogging site Twitter and raised their voice demanding justice for Ravi.
Here are a few reactions over Ravi's death:
