'Disciplined' RSS cancels Minister VK Singh's speech for arriving late
According to a TOI report, General Singh was to address an hour-long session on "security and defence policies of the country" at 11am on Sunday, but he could not make it to the venue on time.
Not only this, the RSS which is known for its discipline, made him to sit behind other VIPs in the camp.
"Singh was scheduled to arrive in the camp before 11 to deliver a speech. But he arrived at the venue around 12.40pm. According to the policies of the RSS, we do not shift our schedule for anyone. He was late, hence he was not allowed to address youths," Virendra Varshaneya, media in charge RSS of the camp was quoted in the report. He further said we need to discipline ourselves in order to teach discipline to others. Varshaneya said rules are rules and equal for everyone.
The RSS is organising a three-day mega camp with an aim to impart its ideology among college-going youths. The event being orgainsed in Agra is attended by youths from Braj region. The region includes Agra, Mathura, Firozabad, Etah, Aligarh, Hathras, Mainpuri and Kasganj districts.
This is the third mega event of RSS held in a row in Uttar Pradesh. A meet of RSS's all-India working committee was held from October 17 to 19 in Lucknow. It was attended by RSS chief Bhagwat, BJP president Amit Shah and other top RSS office-holders.
