Dinner for Obamas' at Rashtrapati Bhavan: Here's the list of guests who may join them

New Delhi, Jan 25: President Pranab Mukherjee will host a dinner for Barack Obama at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday night, which has an exclusive guest list of India's illustrious names from various fields. For this dinner near about around 250 guests have been invited.

Glitterati not only from politics but also from other fields like arts, movies, sports etc will greet the Obamas at their first dinner in India on Sunday. Top political leaders, industrialists, other eminent personalities alongwith Barack Obama's entire delegation will attend the dinner.

As per reports, dinner is said to feature popular Indian dishes, both vegetarian, non-vegetarian alongwith the traditional desserts. As per a DNA report, "The dinner will be a carefully designed spread of select Indian delicacies from North and South Indian cuisine. Galauti Kababs and the Gujarati kadhi will be included as will be sondesh and paan.

Thiugh DNA report claims that Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, AR Rahman, Gulzar, Priyanka Chopra and Sachin Tendulkar have also been invited but a TOI report says that, "No film stars but a bevy of political and corporate leaders will share the table in tonight's banquet hosted by President Pranab Mukhjee in honour of President Barack Obama at the Rashtrapati Bhavan."

the report further said, "Among those who have confirmed their presence include Nobel awardee Kailash Satyarthi, Sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and environmentalist R K Pachauri. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former PM Manmohan Singh, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will be present as will be chief ministers of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje Scindia, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis."

Besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi, political heavyweights, including Sonia and Rahul Gandhi and top ministers of his government will also be present at the dinner hosted by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Among the invitees, former prime ministers Manmohan Singh, HD Deve Gowda, and former presidents like APJ Abdul Kalam and Pratibha Patil, the Lok Sabha Speaker, Leaders of the opposition in Parliament, the Chief Justice of India are also there.
