Aamir Khan lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation initiative and said he would not mind even if it affects his movie Dangal slated for release in December.

"What people are facing is a short term problem I've no problem even if it affects my film," ANI quoted Aamir as saying.

Shah Rukh Khan took to micro-blogging site Twitter to heap praises on Modi and termed the move as "farsighted" and "extremely smart".

Ace filmmaker Karan Johar backed Government's decision, calling it a masterstroke.

Veteran superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted on the colour of new Rs 2000 note and compared it with his movie "Pink".

On the other hand, Music composer Vishal Dadlani criticised the government for poorly implementing the policy.

"If it's true that 2,00,000 ATMs will have to be recalibrated before they can dispense the new currency, this demonetisation "plan" is a JOKE (sic)," he tweeted.

Replying to a Twitter user, Dadlani posted, "That's what nobody understands. I was one of the first to speak in support of Demonetisation. But the planning is an utter disaster!"
