Deliberate? : Sushma omits Modi's name in poll speeches in MP
However, the party's senior leader Sushma Swaraj has distanced herself from the BJP's star campaigner and his poll slogans. She hasn't mentioned his name at any of her poll rallies in Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing party workers in Vidisha, the constituency from where she is contesting, Swaraj praised Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, but gave Modi's name a miss.

"Shivraj Singh had run the government in such a way that he has scored a hat-trick after winning 23 more seats. And voters have made him the chief minister for the third time. He is popular all over Madhya Pradesh," she said in one of the meetings on Monday.
Also, none of the BJP hoardings and flex boards in Sushma's constituency mentions Modi's name.
"Sushma Swaraj did not even mention Narendra Modi, on whose name she will fight the election here. That is not right," a BJP worker told NDTV, said a report.
Swaraj had recently openly slammed the party's choice of not giving another senior leader Jaswant Singh the constituency of his choice.
Last week, she had openly opposed the party's decision to readmit a controversial Karnataka politician, B Sriramulu.
