New Delhi, Feb 17: Following BJP's resounding defeat in recently concluded Delhi Assembly polls, the party's ideological mentor, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has stepped to ensure BJP's victory in the ensuing Bihar Assembly elections.
In this connection, senior RSS leader Dattatrey Hosbole on Monday called a meeting to discuss Bihar election related issues. BJP's Bihar in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, general secretary Murlidhar Rao and other key leaders like V Satish, Saroj Pandey and Vinay Sahastrabudhi were present in the meeting.
According to report in India Today, RSS will be deciding BJP's strategies for Bihar assembly elections.
The assembly elections in Bihar are scheduled to be held later this year, and the BJP is hoping to win big in the State Assembly polls. In the recently held polls, while Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party won 67 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the BJP managed to bag only three.
Meanwhile, the RSS on Tuesday hit out at the BJP saying that 'portraying Kiran Bedi as the CM candidate was a mistake.'
In an article in its mouthpiece 'Panjanya', RSS said the party leadership were too confident and that they ignored the sentiments of the party workers and more so the achievements of the Modi government.
RSS also questioned whether the results would've been different if maybe Dr Harshvardhan or some other BJP member was projected as the CM candidate.
