Delhi police assaults woman with bricks: Twist in case, new audio clip released

New Delhi, May 13: A new audio clip brought a new twist in the infamous assault case which ashamed the Delhi Police. The head police constable, who was suspended and arrested, released the new audio clip.

A video clip on all TV news channel shocked people across the country on Monday, May 11. In the video, the head constable, who was identified as Satish Chand, was seen throwing a brick at the woman.

It was reported that Chand assaulted the woman as she refused to pay a bribe of Rs 200. However, the new audio clip revealed the other part of the incident.

It has been reported that Chand recorded his conversations with the woman who, according to him, had flouted traffic rules. Before going to jail, Chand reportedly handed over the audio clip to one of police officers who arrested him.

According to the audio clip, the police constable was heard asking the woman to show her vehicle papers as she violated traffic rules. The woman, in response, was heard saying, "I am not going to show you the papers."

Excerpts from the audio clip released by the head constable:

Chand: "Madam tumne laal bati jump kiya hai. Tum mujhe apni RC aur licence dikhao, mujhe tera challan karna hai (Madam, you have jumped a red-light. Show me your registration papers and licence so that I can fine you)".

The woman: "Tujhe challan karna hai toh kar de mera court ka challan, main tujhe koi papers nahin dikhaungi (If you want to issue a challan, issue me a court challan. I'm not going to show you any documents)".

Chand: "Ki tu badtameezi se kyu baat kar rahi hai aur court challan karne se pehle apni RC aur licence toh dikha (Why are you being so rude? Before I issue a court challan, show me your licence and registration papers)."
