Delhi MCD election 2017: Litmus test for AAP today
It is clear that Arvind Kejriwal will not accept the results in the Delhi MCD election 2017 if the BJP sweeps it. The Delhi Chief Minister has already said that he would launch a movement if the MCD exit poll results which have predicted a BJP sweep comes true.
Kejriwal has been questioning the safety of the electronic voting machines. He has said that they are not tamper proof and could have been tweaked to favour the BJP. For the AAP there is a lot that is riding on these elections.

The BJP said that the recently held by-elections at Rajouri Garden which it had won was a reflection of what the MCD results would be. The AAP has however dismissed this and said the by-election results would not be a reflection on the MCD results.
Kejriwal had appealed before the campaigning ended not to vote for the BJP. If you vote for the BJP then you will be responsible for dengue in your family he had also said. He was criticised by both the BJP and Congress who termed his statements as political arrogance and desperation.
The three key parties are the BJP, AAP and Congress. All are hopeful of a favourable mandate. The exit polls had however landslide victory for the BJP, which has dominated the three municipal corporations for a decade.
The big litmus test would however be for the AAP. The results would suggest if the voter has accepted or rejected the AAP which came out with flying colours in the Delhi assembly elections.
