Delhi: Massive fire at Cannaught Place
New Delhi, Aug 25: A massive fire broke out at Cannaught Place in New Delhi on Monday, Aug 25. At least 15 fire engines rushed to douse the fire. One building of the popular shopping place caught fire, sources informed.

Delhi Fire Service officials were quoted as saying that the fire broke out at the NIIT centre located in Rama building. Vipin Kental, who is the Deputy chief fire officer, was quoted as saying, "Fifteen fire tenders are at the spot. The situation is under control. No casualties have been reported so far."

Continuing his statement, he also added, "There is a fitness centre above the office on the second floor. People there saw smoke and informed the fire department."

The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet. Meanwhile, at least three people were killed as massive fire engulfed a wool factory in Ludhiana on Monday.
