Pak visa issue: Congress takes dig at Anupam Kher
Earlier, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher was denied visa to attend the Karachi Literature Festival. Kher had said that he was denied a visa for two reasons. "Has my visa been denied because I speak about India's rich tradition of tolerance or I am a Kashmiri Pandit who may expose Pak terror nexus?," Kher tweeted.
In reply to Anupam's charge that he was denied visa, Pakistan High Commission said that 'he (Kher) never applied for a visa in the first place.' Later, Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit called the actor and expressed his regret over denial of visa to the actor.
Every year, many eminent guests attend the Lit festival which consists of discussions, book launches and creative writing workshops.
