Delhi: 16-year-old boy murdered over Metro seat

New Delhi, Sep 18: In a shocking incident here, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death over an argument on a metro seat.

The incident happened on Wednesday, Sep 16 . The deceased identified as Ishu was stabbed by his own friends.

The Police have taken five teenagers into custody in connection with the murder.

According to police, Ishu along with two of his friends had just left a metro train and were going to another metro station in the Kingsway Camp area.

Ishu and his friends were confronted by a group of five boys who started an argument with Ishu. The boys were angry with the deceased after a fight the previous day over a seat on the metro.

The two group of boys belonged to different government schools. One of the teenagers in the opposite group took a knife and stabbed Ishu several times.

The accused ran way from the spot and Ishu was taken to hospital by the localites. He succumbed to injuries around Wednesday midnight.

The police first filed an attempt to murder case, but later turned it into a murder charge. The weapon has been seized.

The accused boys were produced before a juvenile board and sent to a reform home.
