Caste discrimination: 3 dalit boys badly beaten, paraded naked by upper caste men in Rajasthan

Jaipur, April 5: In a shameful incident, some upper caste men brutally thrashed and stripped dalit children in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan.

The shocking incident took place on Saturday, April 2 in Bassi area of Chittorgarh, where children of age group--13 to 15, were not only beaten black and blue for at least half an hour, but they were also paraded naked by the mob of upper caste men.

Media reports claimed that those children were trying to steal a bike of one of the upper caste man. The bone-chilling incident was captured in a CCTV footage.

A police complaint was filed against the children for theft, after which they were sent to juvenile home, but were later released.

Meanwhile, an NDTV report said that six people were detained in connection with the assault of children.

The three boys who were thrashed reportedly belong to Kanjar tribe of Rajasthan. Even today, they are socially boycotted and exploited by so-called upper caste community people.
