Though the traders opened their shops this morning, they expressed dissatisfaction with the police claim of solving the murder case. They said they would wear black band in protest.
The traders said they were still under "stress and fear". Police have so far arrested six criminals in this connection and claimed to have solved the case. Police arrested the main accused, Arun Singh alias Anee, from Indirapuram police area in Ghaziabad last evening.
He told police that he had suffered a loss of Rs 3 crore after Pandit burnt his house. Following this, he, along with others, had planned to kill Pandit.
Singh was on his way to Delhi when he was arrested from Khoda colony, said additional director general of police Davinder Singh Chauhan. Pandit's family members, however, were not satisfied with the police version and have demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder. Pandit was shot dead by four assailants in Dadri area on June 7.
