Mumbai, April 14: In a major breakthrough, the anti extortion cell (AEC) of Mumbai crime branch on Tuesday, April 14, recovered cell phones and weapons, from the two arrested associates of the fugitive gangster Ravi Pujari.
The investigation team recovered 13 cell phones, 17 live cartridges and five weapons.
All the investigations of the team are cornered around mobile phones because they believe that the arrested duo had utilized the facility to communicate with the gangster.

The duo were allegedly providing information about builders and businessmen from the area to Pujari.
The AEC officials claims that the gangster, according to the details provided by the two, will make threat calls to their proposed targets.
The crime branch had arrested Jatan and Patil for allegedly planning to kill a politician, and also formulating serial attacks on prominent businessmen and politicians in Thane district.
"We have recovered a total of 13 cell phones, five foreign made weapons, one of which belongs to Jaywant Mhatre who was murdered in 2005, and 17 rounds of ammunition from the accused," DNA quoted Joint commissioner of police (crime) Atulchandra Kulkarni as saying.
