Cribs death haunts Mamata govt: 16 infants die in last 6 days in B C Roy hospital
Kolkata, March 20: B C Roy Memorial, West Bengal's only referral hospital for children is once again in the news for wrong reasons.
Reportedly, 16 new-borns have died in the last six days.
"In the last 24 hours three infants have died and if you look at the last six days, the figure is 16," Tridib Banerjee, chairman of the state health department's special task force on child healthcare, told.
He said the babies were brought to the hospital in critical condition at the last minute and therefore the doctors could do little to save them.
