Kolkata, Feb 5: The BJP today said Trinamool Congress MP Srinjoy Bose's resignation from the party indicated that cracks in the party were getting wider with every passing day.
"First we saw TMC MPs, ministers and leaders speaking in dissenting voices, now we are seeing TMC MPs resigning from the party... cracks in TMC are getting bigger with every passing day," BJP National Secretary Siddharth Nath Singh said.
"The condition of TMC now is just like a falling house of cards," Singh, who is in charge of West Bengal, said. Hugely embarrassing the TMC which is facing the heat of the Saradha chit fund scam, Bose today resigned from the party and also as an MP, saying he realised that politics was not his 'cup of tea'.
The resignation came less than 24 hours after he was released from jail on a conditional bail after spending 75 days in CBI and judicial custody. The MP was arrested by the CBI in connection with the Saradha scam in November.
