Cornered Rahul Gandhi takes 'drum' jibe at PM Modi; BJP hits back
During his two-day visit to Amethi on Thursday, Rahul took a jibe at Modi's act of playing the drums in Japan by saying, "PM is playing the deum when there are real issues here.
He said, nothing has been changed in Modi government's 100 days of governance.
"The government came on a set of promises. It has forgotten all of them", he said.
Rahul said, "there are issues like corruption, price rise, power crisis, water scarcity and other issues in India and PM is busy in laying the drum in Japan."
Earlier in the day, Rahul was cornered by the Amethi residents when he was stumped by questions on power crisis in his constituency.
BJP hits out at Rahul Gandhi's criticism on Modi
Meanwhile, BJP reacted sharply to Rahul's comments on Modi by launching a counter-attack on their 15-year-long rule.
"Why should we listen to him when his own party members are not listening to him?", BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu said.
Another senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "Congress should be happy about what PM did in Japan, he spoke of development & not Congress's failures. Nation is moving towards development, if Congress cant accept it then they shouldnt make such frustrated comments."
BJP spokesperson Ram Madhav said, "Previous govt is responsible for the power crisis, present govt is only working to resolve the issue."
