Relief for Radhe Maa! High Court grants anticipatory bail to self-styled godwoman

Mumbai, Aug 14: In a major relief to self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa, the Bombay High Court on Friday granted her interim anticipatory bail for two weeks.

As per media reports, the relief has come with a rider that she will have to mark her attendance at the police station during this period.

Earlier in the day, Radhe Maa recorded her statement with Mumbai Police in connection with a dowry harassment case filed by Nikki Gupta.

Investigating officers grilled the self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa, who arrived at the Kandivali police station around 12:15 pm along with her close aide -- Chhoti Maa and Sanjeev Gupta.

Security was beefed up soon after Radhe Maa's white Toyota Fortune SUV reached the Kandivali police station. Radhe Maa was served a summon by Mumbai Police.

A session court in Mumbai on Thursday rejected her anticipatory bail plea. Hence, the self-styled godwoman arrived at the police station to record her statement.

Nikki Gupta accused Radhe Maa of instigating her in-laws to torture her for dowry.

The complainant claimed that Radhe Maa is the decision maker of her family. Her in-laws and husband are the ardent followers of Radhe Maa.
