New Delhi, Aug 6:  Congress on Wednesday gave notice of an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha over rising incidents of communal violence in the country. The notice was given by Congress leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge, party MP M I Shahnawaz and party whip K C Venugopal, party sources said.

They said the party will demand suspension of the Question Hour for taking up the adjournment motion. Kharge said: "If the Rajya Sabha clears it and it comes to the Lok Sabha then we will consider it."

Meanwhile, there was pandemonium in Lok Sabha over communal riots in Uttar Pradesh and UPSC row. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and other Congress MPs entered the well of Lok Sabha demanding discussion on communal riots in UP.
