Indira Gandhi and Nehru
It seems Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to give sleepless night to Congressmen. The days after Modi said that government will run clean India campaign in every school from Nehru's birth anniversary to Indira Gandhi's birthday, the Congress has taken a dig for this deftly hijacking of their legacy .

Already peeved after Prime Minister wrested Mahatma  Gandhi from Congress through clean India campaign, the dynasty party has lashed out at BJP. According to the Hindu report, swiping at BJP, the party(congress) said that, due to paucity of big icon leaders, they are forced to borrow from us.

Shakeel Ahmed, who is Congress spokesman said, "The BJP and the RSS have no leader who participated in the freedom struggle and those that they claim indeed played a part, have a questionable track record".

From Gandhi to Nehru, Know why Modi deftly hijacks congress's big legacy

In recent days, Prime Minister has been invoking Congress's big leaders which is construed as at attempt to steal their legacy. Whether this is being done intentionally or not that is yet not proved, but one thing is crystal clear that Congress is jittery over whole matter.

Speaking in one of the rally, Modi had said, "On Nov 14 when we celebrate the 125th Birth Anniversary of Pt. Nehru all the schools should be given lessons on cleanliness. We will run cleanliness campaign in every school, anganwadi from Nov 14 till Nov 19, the birth anniversary of Smt. Indira Gandhi".

The Prime Minister even swiped at Congress party saying that they should also join the campaign as they have nothing else to do now.

Earlier, Congress leaders had criticized much applauded move of clean India campaign.

Party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said, "Swachh Bharat is a concept, which is unexceptionable. How can you oppose something, which is axiomatically virtuous? But what matters is the implementation. Swachh Bharat is not going to happen because we do photo opportunities, not going to happen because once a year, ministers pick up brooms while a whole mela watches".
