CISF jawan kills colleagues, shoots wife and self
Ratnagiri, March 2: A 35-year old CISF constable posted at the Ratnagiri Gas and Power station is said to have shot two of his colleagues in a fit of rage. He is later said to have shot his 7-month pregnant wife and self.
The incident is said to have taken place on Tuesday night between 9:30 pm and 10:15 pm. The accused jawan had an alleged tiff off with the victim ASI, 57 year old BG Shinde, whom he shot dead. This happened when the jawan came to his barack to deposit his service rifle. When he left the baracks after killing the ASI, he also shot dead another colleague, 28 year old Raneesh PR, whom he assumed would catch him.
After returning home, he told about his killing spree to his wife and shot her on the shoulder and then pumped a bullet in his own chest. The accused has been identified as 35 year old Harishkumar Gound. Both he and his wife 30 year old Priyanka Gound are in a critical condition.
A police official said,"He had told the doctor that he did not want to shoot his wife. The doctor didn't find any mental instability or disorder so far."
Meanwhile, the police has lodged a case no 23 under IPC sec 302, 307 besides Arms Act 27.
