CID picks up a border dweller from Samba

Jammu, Dec 16: The CID wing of Jammu and Kashmir, which was tasked by the state government to probe Nagrota terror attack, has picked up a border dweller from Samba district. On a tip off in connection with his suspected activities along International Border (IB), police held Prem Kumar of Ramgarh border belt. "CID has picked up a border resident and he is being questioned," a senior police officer said. CID is the intelligence arm of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
According to reports, Kumar was on radar in connection with suspicion of infiltrating militants and Nagrota terror attack, but police maintained that he was being interrogated and there was no evidence connecting him with the terror attack so far. He is being taken to Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) for questioning. On November 29, three armed terrorists attacked an army artillery unit in Nagrota and in the gunbattle that followed, 7 army men including 2 Major-rank officers died and 3 terrorists were killed.
