New Delhi, Oct 26: The Intepol have arrested Chhota Rajan. The fugitive whose original name is Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje was on the run for almost two decades and based on information from the Australian police, the Indonesian authorities detained Rajan.
India's Research and Analysis Wing is in touch with authorities in Indonesia for more details on the arrest. According to the information available Rajan had arrived at Bali from Sydney.
The Australian police had tipped off the officials in Bali which led to his arrest.
Rajan is 55 years old and had been flagged by the Interpol in 1995.
He is said to have carried out 15 murders in India, the Bali police said after arresting him.
Last month the Australian police had confirmed that Rajan was living in Australia under a different identity.
