Raipur, Jun 11: Preparations are going on in full swing with a view to make the celebration of 'International Yoga Day' in Chhattisgarh a huge success on June 21.
School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap in a circular has asked the collectors and district education officers to accomplish preparations for the event as early as possible, an official here said today.
"As per the circular, students taking part in the event should wear only white loose fittings to be comfortable during exercise. It is mandatory for the boys to wear half- pants and shirts while salwar-kurta for girls. The girls should also plait their hairs to avoid any trouble while practising yoga," the official said.
"All students would wear shocks also. The students below the V class cannot participate in the exercises but can be spectators at the venue," he added.
The official further said, the main aim of the day is to make the common citizen aware of the benefits of Yoga to lead a healthy and peaceful life.
Lakhs of citizens will take part in the Yoga exercise in the state right from the urban areas to villages, he said.
According to him, the state-level ceremony on the day will be held at Balbeer Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium at Budhatalab (Vivekanand Sarowar) here from 7:00 to 7:35 AM.
