Centre committed to provide health security to all: Rajnath Singh
Lucknow, Apr 20: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said the Centre was committed to extend health security to all the people and was working in this direction.
"Only roti, kapda and makaan are no more the sole necessity of people, education and health have also become priority today and the Central government is working in this direction", he said after inaugurating 100 bed ESI hospital and trauma centre here.
Singh recalled that Babasaheb Ambedkar had thought of insuring poor and labourers.
Stressing that the Centre has implemented three main schemes Pradhan Mantri jan dhan yojana, Atal pension yojna and pradhan mantri jeevan jyoti yojna for the security of all people, he said "Providing social security is the target of the government so that no one remain worried about their future".
Speaking on the occasion, Union Labour and Employment minister Bandaru Dattatrey cited the aims of ESI and said that government was working towards increasing bonus and minimum pension.
