Vadodara, Sep 15 The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has asked cattle owners in the city to get a mandatory licence to deal with the menace of stray animals.
A notification to this effect was released today by civic chief Vinod Rao. "Cattle owners are asked to get the licence within 15 days from today," a civic official said.
"The problem of stray animals, causing traffic blockades and accidents on city roads, is increasing day-by-day. Hence, the civic body decided that cattle owners should get a mandatory licence," Rao told PTI.

"Action will be taken against those who will not take the licence, under relevant sections of the Cattle Trespass Act and Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporation Act," Rao added.
