Cat's photograph on Aadhar Card application, 2 arrested in Kerala
Kerala, July 23: Cases were registered against two people for attaching photograph of a cat in Aadhaar card application form.
Kasargod town police registered a case against the enrollment operator of an enrollment agency and Azeez Abdulla.
According to police sources, cases were registered under IPC sections 465 and 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) on Tuesday night.
It was on July 17 that the application for Aadhaar card was submitted and during the inquiry held in Bengaluru, the officials found the photograph of a cat was attached on the form.
The complaint was filed by Aadhar card additional director DM Gujaral through the District Police Chief.
Azeez, the accused, who is the owner of the cat, had brought the cat from a foreign country, but things got complicated when he was trying to take it back. But the actual reason behind attaching photograph of the cat is yet to be known. A clear picture of the issue will come to light only after the accused are interrogated.
