Burdwan blast: NIA announces cash rewards for information on 12 absconders
The NIA on Friday announced cash reward of ten lakh rupees each against five absconders, five lakh rupees each for three accused and three lakh rupees for the remaining four suspects. The identification details including photographs, physical characteristic and their known addresses have been uploaded on the NIA website (nia.gov.in).
The highest reward of Rs 10-lakh reward has reportedly been declared on suspected Bangladeshi nationals like Sajid, chief of the Burdwan module; Kausar, Yusuf Sheikh and jihadi trainers Nasirullah and Talha Sheikh.
The Rs 5-lakh award has been declared on Amjad Ali Sheikh, who allegedly is the main supplier of chemicals for the IEDs fabricated by the Burdwan module; Sahanur Alom and Habibur Rahman Sheikh.
Those who have any information regarding these 12 terrorists can inform either on phone or on e-mail about their location and movement. The NIA has said the identity of the informers shall be kept secret.
Meanwhile, the NIA probing the Burdwan blasts has submitted a preliminary report to the Union Home Ministry. In its report, NIA has not mentioned anything about Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen alleged plan to target Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina or its main opposition leader Khaleda Zia.
