Burdhwan blast: Major breakthrough for NIA
In a major breakthrough in connection with the Burdhwan blasts, the National Investigation Agency has arrested four persons including a point man of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh.
The four persons arrested at Matiur Rehman, Taleem Shaikh, Habidullah Shaikh and Ejazuddin Mullah. All four persons have found to be directly involved in the incident and had played important roles, an NIA official told Oneindia.
The recruiters
The four persons arrested today by the NIA had been recruiting youth for the Burdhwan module, the NIA says. In fact two of them Taleem Shaikh and Habidullah were present at Burdhwan on October 2 when the accidental blast took place.
None of them had gone too far and decided to stay around the area in a bid to revive the outfit, the NIA also states.

Still a long way to go
The NIA says that the module set up by the JMB is a well networked one. There is a long way to go before we could that completely crack the case. At the moment our focus is on nabbing all the members of the outfit who have taken shelter in various parts of the country.
We are also studying the financial transactions of these persons apart from their local modules which have helped them a great deal. The intention is to ensure that we put a full stop to the operations of this module and not give them a chance to revive, the officer further pointed out.
