Bombay High Court grants permission to Salman Khan to travel abroad
Mumbai, May 26: The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted Bollywood actor Salman Khan permission to travel to Dubai for the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards to be held on May 29 at Meydan Racecourse.
Salman Khan, out on bail after being convicted in 2002 hit-and-run accident case, moved the Bombay High Court seeking permission to travel to Dubai.
On May 6, Salman was convicted by the sessions court here of ‘culpable homicide not amounting to murder' and sentenced to five years in jail.

On May 8, the High Court granted him bail and suspended his sentence pending the hearing and disposal of his appeal against the conviction.
The High Court had also said that the actor would need to seek the court's permission every time he wants to leave the country. Salman's application, said that he wants to travel to Dubai for a show on May 29.
